Internship in Virtual & Physical Validation
Internship in Virtual and Physical Validation of Suspension & Wheel Assembly System for High-Performance Car
Are you enrolled/fresh graduated in a Master's degree in Mechanical/Vehicle/Mechatronics Engineering, Mathematics or related fields?
Do you speak fluent English and possibly Italian and/or German?
Do you have good organizational and communication skills?
Are you eager to learn?
We are looking for brilliant candidates with a strong passion for the Automotive sector and the right motivation to take on a 6-month Internship in a dynamic and international context based in our Research & Development Department at our Sant’Agata Bolognese headquarters.
The project will focus on supporting the staff at Lamborghini involved in:
- Bolt and connection of suspension parts analysis – focus on wheel assembly
- Development advanced numerical methods to simulate preload, load distribution and loosening phenomena
- Analyzed self-loosening mechanisms and their correlation with dynamic load and boundary conditions (Wheel rim, wheel hub, thread profile and so on)
- Conducted tribological analysis of thread-lubrificant interaction
- Correlate numerical data with test in vehicle and or on a test bench
- Defining an internal engineering standard and norms for physical and virtual testing of wheel assembly systems/rotating parts
- Apply on wheel bolts and monolock assembly
In order to meet these targets, you will need:
- Fluent English, Italian and German will be a plus
- Enrolled/Fresh graduated in a Master's degree in Mechanical/Vehicle/Mechatronics Engineering, Mathematics or related fields
- Analytical Skills
- Target oriented
- Proactive attitude
- Team working
- Good communication skills
- Vehicle dynamics background
- SW: Python (tensorflow, Pytorch), Matlab/Simulink, Adams car, FEM (msc or altair or ansys products)
Availability from July 2026.
If you are interested in taking a new professional opportunity, please submit your application by June 10th.
We are an Equal Opportunity Employer, which is why applications will be considered regardless of race, color, religion, sexual orientation, gender identity, gender expression, national origin, disability, age, parenthood, pregnancy or any other legally protected status.
