Brief Role Description
This position is a career level 19P and is located in Reston, VA with a role classification of Hybrid.
The Sales Planning and Dealer Performance Specialist will support all the aspects of the Americas Sales Operation process and create and maintain a compelling dealer performance report system.
Operational analytical support includes reporting and analysis for new and pre owned vehicles, competitor, market share, dealer performance, vehicle and order content, dealer financial risk mitigation, supply chain management and distribution, Variable Margin monitoring and assessment.
Will liaise on a daily basis with dealers to fulfill all administrative tasks in the day-to-day operations, and will support the sales planning processes and the ordering management activity.
Will be the responsible for the continuous development and improvement of QMS system for the Sales Operations department.
Possible Tasks within this Role
Sales Planning Analysis (20%)
- Provide support for sales planning activity in both short term and long term (volume planning): preparing the reporting, detailed by dealer and by model on a monthly basis, and providing the sales forecast across all models and derivatives.
Sales Operations and Dealers Performance Reporting (35%)
- Prepare the dealer performance report and one-pager, providing the market share for each dealer’s area of responsibility for Lamborghini and its core competitors, dealer gross margin for each family of product and other key metrics.
- Collaborate with the other departments to maintain the KPIs on the dealer reports, such as P&A, Service Loyalty, CSS/CSI, and Lead Management.
- Prepare sales reports on a monthly basis to monitor the achievement of the company targets.
- Monitor and report the delivery to customers on weekly and monthly bases
- Monitor vehicle aging
- Support Variable Margin Bprogram initiatives by reconciling proof of delivery qualification advising pre-requisite for quarterly bonus payments
- Monitor and assess that status of the Variable Margin System.
- Manage the Monroney Label creation and distribution process for every new and used vehicle built for the US market.
- Prepare quarterly reports on the order quality management, providing the percentages of order type changes from order submission to customer delivery.
- Maintain the orders database used for sales planning by updating key parameters, e.g. MSRP, transport details.
- Coordinate regular dealer training – with support of regional sales managers – over Lamborghini systems and processes
Vehicles Order Management (20%)
- Supervise the dealer network in submitting orders to production according to their target and the monthly timeline ensuring specification/build compatibility; Manage the order validation process for all model lines
- Amend order configurations or other relevant information on dealer requests
- Manage vehicle prioritization and delivery from CP8 through to Dealer; Monitor vehicle status during the production phases
- Create reports, metrics and analysis to support the management of efficient and effective processes for the Retailer Network to maximize vehicle model order mix and option content
- Audit sales orders in SAP to ensure the billing amount accuracy in preparation of the commercial invoice.
Distribution Management (15%)
- Logistics/vehicle distribution to dealers Oversee operations with the port and trucking partners to ensure specific vehicles are delivered to dealers and issues are addressed proactively
- Provide the Order to Ship notification with the commercial invoices and waybill to the necessary parties (e.g. accounting, customs, port processors)
Product Ad Personam/Special Projects/Few Off (10%)
- Responsible to organize and coordinate with dealers VIP customers vehicle configurations at the Lamborghini Lounge(s) and specific events
- Manages Few-Off/One-Off commercial program, including configuration and logistics support
- Coordinate with dealers, customers and the head of sales special projects such the Alpha program, limited edition series, etc.
Qualification requirements
- 7+ years relevant work experience
- 2 years practical experience in automotive company
