Group Job Portal and Online Application

The provider of the group job portal is Volkswagen AG, Berliner Ring 2, 38440 Wolfsburg, Germany, registered in the Commercial Register of the Braunschweig Local Court under No. HRB 100484 (Volkswagen AG).

1. Subject and Scope of Services

a. Volkswagen Group Job Portal

Through this website, we offer you access to a groupwide job portal of the Volkswagen Group. The job portal is provided and operated centrally by Volkswagen AG. The job openings shown in the job portal as well as further information are defined by the respective group companies and provided centrally by Volkswagen AG in its role as provider of the job portal. A detailed list of the participating companies can be found in section A of our Data Privacy Policy. You can use our job portal purely for information purposes, but you can also register to apply online for vacancies at Volkswagen AG and some of the Group companies listed on the website or create an profile to be found by our Recruiters. Currently, the Group Job Portal is only used by Volkswagen AG as a recruiting system.

b. Vacant Positions

You can use the job portal to view jobs currently advertised both by Volkswagen AG and by participating Group companies and to apply for these jobs online. The application you submit will be processed exclusively by the company at which the position is advertised and for which you are applying. The details of the company that advertises the vacancy and is responsible for the application process can be found in each job advertisement within the job information.

a. Volkswagen Group Job Portal

Through this website, we offer you access to a groupwide job portal of the Volkswagen Group. The job portal is provided and operated centrally by Volkswagen AG. The job openings shown in the job portal as well as further information are defined by the respective group companies and provided centrally by Volkswagen AG in its role as provider of the job portal. A detailed list of the participating companies can be found in section A of our Data Privacy Policy. You can use our job portal purely for information purposes, but you can also register to apply online for vacancies at Volkswagen AG and some of the Group companies listed on the website or create an profile to be found by our Recruiters. Currently, the Group Job Portal is only used by Volkswagen AG as a recruiting system.

b. Vacant Positions

You can use the job portal to view jobs currently advertised both by Volkswagen AG and by participating Group companies and to apply for these jobs online. The application you submit will be processed exclusively by the company at which the position is advertised and for which you are applying. The details of the company that advertises the vacancy and is responsible for the application process can be found in each job advertisement within the job information.

2. Registration and Candidate Profile

a. Registration

In order to apply, it is necessary that you first register within our job portal and create a personal candidate profile. It is also possible to create an active candidate profile in the portal without applying for a job, e.g. if you do not want to apply until a later date. Within the profile you have created, you can change or add to your personal data and documents at any time and view the status of your submitted and saved applications.

For registration, we need your first name, last name, email address and country/region of residence. You will also need to set a password. To complete the registration process, a one-time password will be sent to the email address provided, which must be entered for validation to ensure that no unauthorized registration takes place. It is possible to complete the registration in our job portal and the online application for a displayed job in one step.

Registration and also application via our job portal for the advertised positions is only possible if you confirm our terms of use for online application via the "Accept" button during registration. Please note that the registration and use of the online application function takes place in the Volkswagen AG job portal and that the terms of use displayed here apply between you and Volkswagen AG. The position for which you are applying may be one offered by a Group company other than Volkswagen AG. If applicable, special conditions of the specific group company must be considered.

b. Password Setup

You agree to choose a strong and secure password. Our system-side specifications for password definition will be displayed to you during registration. You must keep your password secret to prevent misuse. As soon as you have reason to believe that unauthorized third parties have gained knowledge of your password, you must change it immediately. If the Service is used by third parties using the password (third party use), you are subject to the same obligations as if you were using the Service yourself. This obligation does not apply to the extent that you are not responsible for the third-party use.

Within the registration process you need to set the visibility settings for your candidate profile. You have the option to choose between the following profile visibility settings:

All Recruiters of all participating VW Group companies
All recruiters from participating VW Group companies based in the country of your residence
Only recruiters who manage jobs you apply for

If you choose worldwide or national visibility, your candidate profile may also be considered by the recruiters of our participating Group companies for other positions for which your candidate profile matches, irrespective of any application submitted. In this case, recruiters of a respective group company (according to your defined profile visibility) would contact you without binding commitment, e.g. with an invitation by e-mail to apply for this position. If you activate your profile for a country in which you currently reside, it is possible that there is no participating Group company of us in the selected country. In this case, no recruiter will be able to view your data in your candidate profile. You can find an overview of our participating Group companies in our Privacy Policy.

Data from your submitted applications is always only visible to the recruiter processing the job postings and is not linked to the visibility settings of your candidate profile. You can see which data fields are involved in the "Job applications" section of your candidate profile.

Volkswagen AG is responsible for recruiting, selecting and training candidates who apply for open positions at Volkswagen AG. Notifications along the recruiting process, e.g. interview invitations or rejections, are made directly by the persons responsible for the recruiting process at Volkswagen AG.

b. Application at a VW Group Company

When you apply for an open position at one of our participating companies, you will receive an automated notification from job portal. Our Group brands and companies are responsible for recruiting, selecting and training their own candidates. Notifications along the recruiting process, e.g. interview invitations or rejections, are therefore made directly by the persons responsible for the recruiting process in the Group companies and not by Volkswagen AG.

When you apply for an open position at Volkswagen AG, you will receive an automated notification from our job portal. When you apply for an open position at one of our participating companies, you will receive an automated notification from job portal. Our Group brands and companies are responsible for recruiting, selecting and training their own candidates. Notifications along the recruiting process, e.g. interview invitations or rejections, are therefore made directly by the persons responsible for the recruiting process in the Group companies and not by Volkswagen AG.

5. Notification about matching vacancies

The job portal offers you the possibility to receive notifications by e-mail as soon as job openings are available that match your previously defined search criteria. You can give your consent to these notifications on a voluntary basis during registration. To activate job notifications, you must be logged in as a user in your candidate profile. Via your candidate profile, you can change and also delete the notifications created as well as the search criteria you entered previously at any time.

6. Deletion of Candidate Profile

By accessing your candidate profile, you have the option to view your data stored with us at any time. Within the settings in your candidate profile, you have the option to delete your complete data at any time if necessary. You also have the option of deleting all your stored data in the section "Search options and data privacy" within your candidate profile.

7. Obligations and Responsibilities of Users

You may only use the online application system for the named purposes. In particular, you may not use the system or parts of it to perform activities that may be directly or indirectly unlawful.

Furthermore, you agree to avoid,

pretending to be another person;
submitting applications on behalf of another person
intentionally submit false information to us;
Engage in any activity that is or may be directly or indirectly unlawful, harmful, threatening, harassing, insincere, defamatory, vulgar, obscene, invasive of another's privacy, hateful or racially, sexually, ethnically or otherwise objectionable;
Willfully engage in activities that intentionally cause system disruption.

In case of an intentional/conscious violation, we will reserve the right to exclude you from further use of the system and, if we deem it necessary, also to take legal action.

Any misuse of the Volkswagen AG websites must be avoided; in particular, no security measures may be circumvented. In addition, no facilities may be used or applications executed that could lead to damage to or functional failure of the Volkswagen AG facilities, in particular through changes to the physical or logical structure of the servers or the network of Volkswagen AG or other networks. Commercial, systematic use of the Volkswagen AG websites is not permitted without the consent of Volkswagen AG.

You may only use the online application system for the named purposes. In particular, you may not use the system or parts of it to perform activities that may be directly or indirectly unlawful.

Furthermore, you agree to avoid,

The User is granted a non-exclusive, non-transferable and non-sublicensable right to use the Job Portal or parts of it in accordance with these Terms of Use.

9. Exclusion of liability Volkswagen AG

Volkswagen AG shall not be liable for damages caused by you choosing an unsuitable password for your application profile or for failure on your part to keep your password safe. Volkswagen shall also not be liable for damages caused by third parties to whom you have granted access to your application profile.

Volkswagen AG is not liable for the correctness, up-to-dateness, accuracy, completeness and/or quality of data, content and information that is recognizably provided by third parties via the website and the job portal. Such data, content and information are not controlled and/or modified by Volkswagen AG.

Volkswagen AG shall not be liable for any damage or loss caused by your culpable failure to use the website and the job portal in accordance with these terms and conditions.

The above limitations of liability shall not apply in the event of intent, gross negligence, fraud, injury to life, limb or health, statutory product liability, fraudulent concealment of a defect, assumed guarantees and/or breach of material contractual obligations (so-called cardinal obligations) by Volkswagen AG towards you.

If advice or a recommendation is given on the Volkswagen AG websites, Volkswagen AG shall not be obliged to compensate for the damage resulting from following the advice or recommendation, irrespective of the responsibility resulting from a contractual relationship, a tortious act or any other legal provision.

Volkswagen AG shall not be liable for damages caused by you choosing an unsuitable password for your application profile or for failure on your part to keep your password safe. Volkswagen shall also not be liable for damages caused by third parties to whom you have granted access to your application profile.

11. Applicable Law

These Terms of Use are governed by German law. If you are a consumer and have your ordinary residence in a country other than Germany, the application of mandatory legal provisions of that country shall remain unaffected by the choice of law in sentence 1.

12. Court of Jurisdiction

If you are a consumer, Volkswagen AG may bring an action against you only in the court of your domicile or habitual residence. You may bring an action against Volkswagen AG in the court of Volkswagen AG's administrative headquarters in Wolfsburg, Germany, and in any other court that has jurisdiction over this case under applicable law.

13. Dispute Resolution

Volkswagen is neither committed nor obliged to participate in dispute resolution before a consumer arbitration board.

This regulation only applies to consumers who have their domicile or registered office or habitual residence in a member state of the European Union and does not affect the legal regulations for alternative dispute resolution that may exist in countries outside the European Union.

The European Commission provides a platform for out-of-court online dispute resolution at www.ec.europa.eu/consumers/odr. On this platform, the CUSTOMER will find a list of dispute resolution bodies that can assist in out-of-court dispute resolution.

For the avoidance of doubt, this provision does not restrict the right of the user to assert his claims before a competent court.
