Role Summary
The (VW or Audi) Business Development Specialist will focus on driving Finance & Brand Loyalty through Leasing programs. Individual will be responsible for working with Sales Operation, Field, Brand, Protection Product, and Remarketing colleagues (list not exhaustive) to develop ways to improve lease loyalty and to improve leasing volume. Individual will be responsible for providing business insights (from internal data, 3rd party data, and field insights), analysis, and recommendations.
The (VW or Audi) Business Development Specialist will support leadership as requested to facilitate VWFS / AFS Dealer sub-Councils. The individual will liaise with other departments to identify agenda topics and will respond internally when there is relevant dealer feedback.
Responsibilities within this Role
Business Development – 80% of time spent
- Responsible for identifying, scoping and managing policy and program enhancements to support portfolio growth and loyalty strategy through the dealer channel.
- Take a lead role in developing VW-centric actions, reporting, etc that maintains alignment with VW Brand / Audi Brand goals.
- Work with Product Specialist / Manager to ensure the VW position is understood and upheld throughout the product development process.
- Work with internal teams (IE: Risk) to make sure products and policies support the specific Brand goals and business objectives (new and CPO / used)
- Collaborate with field, brand and corporate departments to deliver actions to support loyalty KPIs.
- Collaborate with corporate departments to identify key topics to bring to the respective Sub-council meetings. Support through ad-hoc reporting as needed
- When feedback received from sub-council, coordinate with internal departments to communicate feedback and follow up on any actions to ensure completion
- Lead VWFS / AFS sub council meetings to regularly present thoroughly constructed proposals for approval, and post-program analysis/results to internal stakeholders
Business Insights - 20% of time spent
Derive timely, relevant and actionable insights – business intelligence at a national and regional level that drives VCI business and financial performance
Steer Sales Operations (Brand Specific) goals when collaborating with other internal teams on new and innovative projects
Qualification requirements
- 7+ years of professional experience
- 5+ years of experience in automotive financial services, automotive or related captive finance field
- Travel required 10%
Preferred:
- 2+ years automotive brand experience and/or field experience
Required Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration or equivalent experience
