Brief Role Description

The Lease-End Representative is responsible for the efficient recovery and disposal of the company’s assets, specifically Lease-end, while maintaining high levels of dealer and customer satisfaction. 

Position level: 4
Reports: Lease-End Manager
Role classification: Fully Remote

Possible Tasks within this Role

  • Invoice Settlement: Negotiate invoice settlements with customers and process adjustments. 
  • Customer and Dealer Support: Respond to inquiries from customers and dealers, providing information and assistance regarding vehicle purchase, refinancing, re-leasing, extensions, or any other matters related to the Lease-end process. Process customer lease extensions as required. 
  • Vehicle Recovery: Contact customers who have not returned their vehicle at the dealership at lease end. Locate vehicles when customers refuse or ignore requests and take actions to repossess the vehicle. 
  • Account Management: Follow up on all accounts due to mature to ensure vehicles are inspected appropriately before turn-in. 
  • Record Keeping: Ensure all necessary entries are made in the system of records. 
  • Payment Processing: Process payments, including credit card transactions, as required. 
  • Vehicle Disposal: Ensure vehicles are ready for disposal in a timely manner. 
  • Reporting: Generate reports as requested. 
  • Dealer Support: Serve as an educational and operational resource for dealers in the end-of-lease process. 
  • Remarketing Interface: Collaborate with the Remarketing team in Pickering and auctions to ensure accurate processing of end-of-term and early termination invoicing and other departmental needs. 

Qualification requirements

Formal Education: 

  • DEC required. 
  • Bachelor’s degree in finance, Management, Business Administration, or a related field is an asset. 

Experience: 

  • 2-3 years of experience in financial services. 
  • Customer service experience in a call center, handling both inbound and outbound calls. 
  • 2 years of experience in the Automotive Finance Business is a considerable asset. 

 

Competencies: 

  • Fluent in both English and French, spoken and written. 
  • Exceptional negotiation skills. 
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills. 
  • Strong analytical thinking. 
  • Highly organized with the ability to multi-task. 
  • Attention to detail and precision. 
  • Ability to foster a cooperative environment and build team cohesiveness. 
  • Proficient in computer applications (Word, Excel, Outlook, Internet). 

Specialized Skills, Knowledge, or Certifications: 

  • Knowledge of retail auto loans is an asset. 
  • Good working knowledge of Canadian consumer laws pertaining to automotive leases and loans is an asset. 

 

Work Schedule 

  • The work week is 37.5 hours. 
  • The selected candidate must be able to work a flexible schedule from Monday to Friday, between 8:00 AM and 6:00 PM. 

    Salary range is dependent on factors such as industry-based experience, skills, training, credentials, and other qualifications.  
    The salary for this role is $26.52. Actual pay may vary based on experience, education, and internal compensation practices.
