Technical Assistant

Possible Tasks within this Role

• Receiving and delivering vehicles (customer orders, stock vehicles).
• Maintaining the department’s test-drive, company and new vehicles in good working condition, transferring them to and from other dealers, including to the transport company, and forwarding the relevant requests to the service department.    
• Monitoring the timely completion of maintenance on test-drive and company cars.  
• Checking test-drive cars, recording mileage, damage and fuel levels.
• Processing claims for damage sustained during transportation.
• Receiving requests from sales consultants for pre-sale preparation and supplementary equipment fitting, including appropriate monitoring of the completion of service work prior to the vehicle being handed over to the customer.
• Receiving requests from sales consultants for pre-sale preparation and supplementary equipment, including appropriate monitoring of service work to prepare vehicles for display in the showroom.
• Moving or repositioning demonstration vehicles within the showroom in accordance with requests from the sales department.
• Documenting the pre-sale preparation process, ensuring work orders are closed in a timely manner.
• Must be familiar with and use all necessary software required to carry out their duties (WebWheels, CROSS, Partnet.Net).
• Maintain the brand’s image and comply with brand standards and regulations.
• Carry out specific instructions from management relating to their immediate duties.

Qualification requirements

• Secondary technical or higher education.
• Work experience in the automotive sector (an advantage).
• Category ‘B’ driving licence.
