The role:
We are looking for a Head of Racing Car Development to join our headquarters at Sant’Agata Bolognese (BO), you will hierarchically report to the Head of Motorsport.
You will responsible to manage the racing car development team which will ensure the development, engineering, production and technical governance of Lamborghini racing cars, guaranteeing compliance with motorsport regulations and delivering top‑tier technical support worldwide.
You will :
- Be responsible, coordinate and manage the racing car development team
- Ensure coordination and communication with other departments through the required cross‑functional meetings.
- Develop Lamborghini racing cars that meet international motorsport regulations and performance targets.
- Develop special motorsport products and one‑off vehicles for high‑profile Lamborghini clients.
- Lead the end‑to‑end process of design, engineering, and production for all track‑only vehicles.
- Define technical content, guidelines, and procedures, ensuring compliance with budget, governance, and TÜV quality standards.
- Ensure cost, quality, and performance KPIs are consistently met across the development cycle.
- Facilitate the transfer of racing technology and expertise into road‑legal derivative models.
- Collaborate with motorsport authorities by participating in FIA, ACO, and IMSA technical working groups.
- Deliver world‑class technical support to customer racing teams across global GT and endurance championships.
About you
- University degree in Engineering
- At least 15 years of experience in a similar role, with a direct on‑track racing experience
- Experience in managing structured and layered teams.
- Technical knowledge in Motorsport
- Motorsport Technical Regulation knowledge
- Experience in racing cars development
- Fluent English, Italian and German will be considered a plus
