Description
We are looking for a Buyer Lighting to join our headquarters at Sant’Agata Bolognese (BO), reporting hierarchically to the Head of Exteriors and Risk Management.
You will be responsible to carry out all the negotiation activities with suppliers/partners for the competent parts and to evaluate their offers in order to define contracts by taking care of yearly budget achievement.
Your main activities will be:
- Leading price negotiations and mediate award decisions through a worldwide Bidder’s List
- Identifying & Leading cost Saving Ideas including supplier visits at plant
- Scouting for New Suppliers and Innovation with a deep focus on Economics and Business Sustainability
- Analysing new market trends and derive acquisition strategies in the lighting Commodity
- Being an active player in the VW Lighting Group Commodity Meeting, aligning the Lighting Purchasing Strategy with the other VW Brands (Porsche, Bentley, Audi, etc.)
- Early involvement in the Project to Define best Technology to match project Needs & Target
- Working with the latest e-procurement solutions
- Active member of cross functional teams
About you
- University Degree in in Engineering (Management/Mechanical/Materials) or equivalent
- 5 years’ experience in Procurement or Supply Chain
- Proven competence in Lighting / Electronic Components
- English knowledge, German will be considered a plus
- Good negotiations skills
- Able to manage complex supply chain
- Target oriented
- Team working
- Analytical skills

- Annual gross salary starting from € 43.300. The successful candidate’s placement and final offer will be determined by their experience, skills, qualifications, and internal equity considerations.
