Brief Role Description
As a Supply Chain Planner, you are responsible for ensuring the smooth operation and efficiency of the supply chain network. You strategically plan and optimize the flow of goods from suppliers to customers. Using forecasting tools and data analysis, you adjust supply strategies as needed.
You manage global capacity and transportation networks in alignment with purchasing, legal, and financial guidelines. This includes coordinating tenders, ensuring material availability for series production, and supporting the export of components and spare parts.
By leveraging forecasting tools and data analysis, you continuously adjust supply strategies to meet production requirements and customer demand. You collaborate closely with procurement, logistics, and sales teams to ensure on-time delivery and avoid production interruptions, particularly for key production lines.
Additionally, you drive transportation cost optimization initiatives to meet financial targets, reduce manufacturing costs, and increase overall profitability.
Possible Tasks within this Role
- Regularly evaluate existing transport processes according to plant requirements and Audi brand and VW Group strategy
- Coordinate Inbound optimization measures and projects to reduce costs in transportation of the series model and the shipment of components and spare parts
- Define evaluation indicators (KPIs) and evaluate the performance of transportation service providers, as well as ensure compliance with business rules and shipping instructions to identify deviations and/or potential improvements in process and/or cost in order to ensure the timely delivery of materials and avoid interruptions in production
- Establish and secure transportation capacity for Audi Mexico through transportation tenders according to VWdM Purchasing or VW Group logistics processes
- Evaluate and calculate transportation costs and their behavior (risks and opportunities) to ensure compliance with the assigned annual budget
- Coordinate feasibility studies, pilots and implement new types of transport and/or logistics services associated
- Ensure the monitoring of the validity of transport contracts and purchase order balances to ensure compliance with Audi Mexico's legal and financial guidelines
- Represent Inbound Audi Mexico in working groups within the Audi or VW group to standardize processes, develop joint tenders, synergy projects and optimize transport costs
- Manage the carrier base, bidding and purchasing of emergency transportation (Spotmarket) for critical material to ensure the continuity of production of Audi Mexico and avoid line stoppages
Qualification requirements
- Minimum 4 years of porfessional experience
- Bachelor Degree (preferable in International Business, Supply Chain Management, Logistics)
