You will become part of a highly skilled and interdisciplinary leadership team within Vehicle Energy, Motion & Body (VEMB). Together, we drive the development of high-performance software products and organizational structures, establish engineering excellence, and create the foundation for the successful development, integration, and validation of future vehicle functions.

WHAT YOU WILL DO

  • Lead and further develop the Tech Operations & Solutions organization with a focus on Operational Excellence, Systems Engineering, Governance, and product enablement.
  • Define and execute the mid- to long-term strategy for Tech Operations & Solutions in alignment with the overall VEMB strategy and company objectives.
  • Ensure effective organizational structures, processes, and operating models that enable the successful development, integration, and delivery of innovative vehicle functions.
  • Establish and continuously evolve governance, steering, and collaboration frameworks across all engineering disciplines.
  • Foster cross-functional collaboration between Engineering, Program Management, Architecture, Quality, Compliance, and other key stakeholders.
  • Own the definition and monitoring of key performance indicators (KPIs), transparency mechanisms, and management reporting to ensure quality, efficiency, and delivery performance.
  • Drive Operational Excellence and the continuous improvement of engineering processes, methodologies, tools, and organizational capabilities.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant quality, safety, cybersecurity, and regulatory requirements across the organization.Oversee the effective management and integration of external partners, suppliers, and engineering service providers.
  • Manage budgets, resources, and organizational capacity to maintain a sustainable and high-performing organization.Identify and mitigate strategic, organizational, and technical risks, dependencies, and capability gaps.
  • Develop leaders and senior experts while fostering a culture of accountability, collaboration, continuous improvement, and technical excellence.
  • Report on strategic initiatives, organizational performance, risks, and progress to senior management and relevant steering committees.

WHO YOU ARE

  • Successfully completed university degree or PhD in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Automotive Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a comparable technical discipline.
  • More than 10 years of professional experience in complex engineering, technology, or operations organizations, ideally within the automotive industry.
  • At least 8 years of people leadership experience in complex, international, and cross-functional engineering or technology organizations, or a CARIAD-recognized leadership license.
  • Proven track record of building and scaling operating and delivery models for software and technology products in a complex environment.
  • Strong expertise in Systems Engineering, Operational Excellence, engineering governance, and organizational steering models.
  • Solid understanding of automotive development processes, quality standards, and regulatory frameworks such as ASPICE, ISO 26262, and Automotive Cybersecurity.Strategic mindset with the ability to translate long-term objectives into actionable initiatives and measurable business outcomes.
  • Strong stakeholder management and influencing skills, with experience collaborating effectively across executive leadership, engineering teams, and external partners.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving capabilities, combined with a pragmatic, results-oriented approach.
  • Experience working in international and matrix-based organizations, with strong intercultural communication skills.
  • Fluent in German and English, both written and spoken.
