YOUR TEAM

To support our multimodal 3D sensing team, we are currently looking for an intern. 
In your role, you will gain first-hand experience in camera–radar fusion and semantic mapping for autonomous vehicles, contributing to the development of robust environment perception systems. You will be an integral part of the team working on multi-sensor scene understanding, 3D semantic map generation, and cross-modal alignment between vision and radar data. Our team focuses on advancing multimodal perception algorithms that enable vehicles to perceive and reason about complex driving environments under all weather and lighting conditions. This internship offers an opportunity to work at the forefront of autonomous perception, combining cutting-edge machine learning with real-world sensor data. 

WHAT YOU WILL DO

  • Developing and evaluating fusion pipelines for radar and camera data 
  • Supporting the creation of semantic 3D maps for large-scale driving scenes 
  • Implementing and benchmarking deep learning or geometric methods for scene understanding 
  • Assisting in data processing, visualization, and annotation for multi-sensor datasets 

WHO YOU ARE

  • Excellent academic performance  
  • Enrolled student in Computer Science, Robotics, Electrical Engineering, Mathematics or equivalent
  • Know-how of relevant sensors for autonomous driving and measurement technology
  • Programming knowledge and experience in Python or C++
  • Confident in English in both oral and written form
  • High level of commitment, initiative and teamwork

NICE TO KNOW

  • Remote work options within Germany 
  • Duration: 3 - 6 months 
  • 35 h/week 
  • Salary: 12,82€/hour
