YOUR TEAM
To support our Automotive Sensor Development team, we are currently looking for a working student. In your role you get first-hand experience in Sensor Availability and Sensor Cleaning and will be an integral part of the team that works on LiDAR and Camera development.
Main focus of your activities will be on Sensor Availability, where you will work mainly on LiDAR and Camera sensor to measure their detection quality and define a point of intervention during performance degradation, where an automated cleaning is necessary. During this process you will have the opportunity to learn and work with blockage detection mechanism of different sensors, detection performance degradation, sensor cleaning. The aim of your work is the implementation of a neural network that continuously analyzes the camera and LiDAR blockage output and trigger a cleaning mechanism to improve the sensor’s detection performance.
WHAT YOU WILL DO
- Setup and work with a cross functional test bench incl. sensor soiling, data processing and cleaning
- Define and measure KPIs to determine the sensor’s detection quality
- Conceptualize and evaluate tests to determine the performance degradation of different sensors
- Implementation of a neural network based logic to activate the cleaning for specific sensors
WHO YOU ARE
- Enrolled student in the area of Mechatronics, Electrical, Software Engineering, or similar
- Able to work efficiently with high degree of autonomy and proactivity
- Experience in Object oriented programming language (Python preferred, C++ is a plus)
- Experience with Camera and/or LiDAR sensors is an advantage
- Experience with Machine Learning and/or Data Science Applications
- Initial project experience in automation projects
- Fluent in English and/or German
NICE TO KNOW
- Remote work options within Germany
