Senior Software Engineer for Bluetooth Connectivity (f/m/d)

YOUR TEAM
In the area of connectivity, we connect cars with customers and the automotive cloud. Our connectivity devices link smartphones and other close‑range infrastructure using Wi‑Fi, Bluetooth, BLE, WLANp, and C‑V2X. We take care of eSIM management to ensure a seamless car connectivity experience. We develop connectivity units for the global platforms 1.1 and 1.2, including Group ConMod, for the world market.
WHAT YOU WILL DO
- Development and integration of Bluetooth functionalities into the connectivity and infotainment platforms 1.1 / 1.2 and Group ConMod
- Implementation and adaptation of relevant Bluetooth profiles according to product and OEM requirements (e.g. HFP, A2DP, AVRCP, PBAP, MAP, GATT)
- Analysis and resolution of field and integration issues such as connectivity drops, audio issues, and pairing or reconnect problems
- Ensuring quality and interoperability through the setup and continuous improvement of automated tests as well as execution and support of Bluetooth test suites (end‑to‑end, approval)
- Ensuring software update capability of the Bluetooth module, including update containers per release and fast hotfix or driver updates in case of incompatibilities
- Supporting Bluetooth SIG compliance and approvals by understanding qualification requirements and providing required evidence and release artifacts
- Interface and collaboration with chipset and stack suppliers, platform teams (audio/DSP, middleware, AOSP, system architecture), and relevant stakeholders
WHO YOU ARE
- At least 5 years of experience in embedded and system software development (C, C++, Rust)
- Solid understanding of Bluetooth Classic and BLE, including host/controller separation and HCI principlesHands-on experience with common Bluetooth profiles such as HFP, A2DP, AVRCP, PBAP, MAP, and GATT
- Experience with at least one Bluetooth stack, e.g. Android FluorideStrong debugging skills at protocol level (pairing, bonding, encryption) and confident handling of logs and traces (HCI traces, snoops, Wireshark, analyzers)
- Experience in system integration and coexistence (Bluetooth in combination with Wi‑Fi and cellular) as well as performance, latency, and stability optimization
- Practical experience with test automation, CI, and end‑to‑end and approval tests for Bluetooth functionalities
- Understanding of Bluetooth SIG qualification and compliance, or willingness to actively drive certification and release topics
- Very good English skills at C1 level, German is a plus
