YOUR TEAM
To support our architecture and system analysis team, we are currently looking for an intern or working student. In your role you get first-hand experience in the development and implementation of state-of-the-art methods for the automated analysis of the various systems and their interplay in our vehicles as well as in designing the vehicle software architecture required for that.
Our goal is the overall optimization of the vehicle software such that it can be delivered with the highest possible quality in time to the brands of the Volkswagen Group for the production of the series vehicles that are driven by this software. To this end, we closely collaborate with the colleagues responsible for developing the various vehicle systems, namely, energy, motion, body, driver assistance, infotainment and connectivity systems and pursue a data-driven development approach by applying methods using pattern recognition, statistical signal processing, machine learning and AI for the automated system analysis based on the huge amount of measurement data collected from a large development vehicle fleet.
WHAT YOU WILL DO
- Review literature regarding current state-of-the-art algorithms
- Examine relevant algorithms from the field of statistical signal processing and machine learning
- Develop and implement methods for the automated system analysis
- Identify and define the relevant data in the software for the automated system analysis
- Create diagrams visualizing the analysis results, e.g., in databricks dashboards
- Present results
WHO YOU ARE
- Enrolled student in the area of Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Software Engineering, Informatics or a related field (ideally at the master’s level)
- Familiar with algorithms in statistical signal processing and machine learning
- Programming experience in SQL, MATLAB/Simulink, Python or C, including hands-on use of AI tools
- Strong interest in automation and data-driven workflows combined with out-of-the-box thinking
- Analytical and structured working style with a hands-on, solution-oriented and pragmatic mindset
- Reliable team player with strong collaboration skills, willingness to learn and ability to work independently
- Excellent communication skills in both German and English (written and spoken)

- Duration: 3 - 6 months
- 35 hours/week
- Salary: 13,90 €/hour
Working Student - Duration: 6 months (with the option to extend up to two years)
- 20 hours/week, up to 35 hours/week during the semester break
- Salary: 17,80€/hour
