YOUR TEAM
To support our Longitudinal Motion Control team, we are currently looking for an intern. In this role, you will gain first-hand experience in the development of state-of-the-art vehicle motion control functions and become an integral part of a highly skilled agile engineering team.
We develop software for customer-facing vehicle functions such as recuperation control, traction control, all-wheel drive systems, drift functions and component protection for future software-defined vehicles. Working in an agile environment, you will contribute to real production software and support the implementation, integration and validation of embedded vehicle functions. Your work will contribute to future premium and sports vehicles of our customer brands, ensuring high performance driving dynamics in SDV.
WHAT YOU WILL DO
- Develop MATLAB/Simulink models for production software
- Validate software functions in simulation and test environments
- Analyze and modify embedded C code
- Develop Python scripts and engineering tools to automate development workflows
- Work with modern AI-assisted engineering tools to increase development efficiency
- Contribute to functions such as all-wheel drive, recuperation, traction control, drift control and component protection
- Implement low-level embedded software for vehicle motion control functions
WHO YOU ARE
- Enrolled student in Automotive Engineering, Mechatronics, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science or comparable field
- Basic knowledge of C and/or Python programming and MATLAB / Simulink development
- Open, team-oriented and passionate about vehicle dynamics and control systems
- Structured, analytical and proactive way of working
- Experiences in a Formula Student project is a plus
NICE TO KNOW
- Due to the necessary collaboration with our internal colleagues, brand partners and the tests on the proving ground work will primarily take place at our CARIAD site in Ingolstadt; partial remote work is possible
- Duration: 3 - 6 months
- 35 hours/week
- Salary: 13,90 €/hour
