YOUR TEAM

To support our Cyber Security Engineering & Governance, Risk, and Compliance (GRC) team, we are looking for an intern to contribute to enhancing our security capabilities in infotainment development. In this role, you will gain handson experience improving security features of our CI/CD pipeline, refining security risk management methods, and supporting key GRC activities. You will work alongside seasoned security experts and product development teams while deploying new structural capabilities at scale in a DevSecOps organization. 

We are a team of passionate security engineers and governance specialists with a strong analytical mindset — embedded in CARIAD and the global VW Group network. 

WHAT YOU WILL DO

  • Enhance tool-based vulnerability management capabilities 
  • Automate aggregation and visualization of vulnerabilities 
  • Review product security risk assessments and propose improvements to risk management 
  • Develop compliance as code PoCs and explore AI-assisted automations 
  • Identify security management best practices within the automotive industry and beyond 
  • Refine security interfaces with other GRC areas (e.g. quality, legal) 
  • Assess the regulatory compliance of selected capabilities

WHO YOU ARE

  • Very good academic performance  
  • Enrolled student in software engineering or related field 
  • Excellent conceptual and analytical skills 
  • Self-guided work ethic 
  • Enthusiastic about tackling complex tasks 
  • Affinity for technology and cyber security

NICE TO KNOW

  • Remote work options within Germany 

  • Duration: 3 - 6 months  

  • 35 h/week 

  • Salary: 13.90 €/hour
