YOUR TEAM
We are a dedicated team responsible for the financial steering of all our subsidiaries at CARIAD. Our role is crucial in managing our portfolio, consolidating and improving the financial results of the company and ensuring the monthly financial closing process. We are in constant exchange with the finance departments of our subsidiaries and support our internal M&A team with evaluations for their strategic decision making.
WHAT YOU WILL DO
In this role, your primary focus will be on overseeing the financial operations of our subsidiaries and ensuring accurate financial reporting and compliance with both local and parent company standards. We monitor and analyze the financial performance to improve the company´s results as well as the results of CARIAD SE overall. Your responsibilities will include:
- Supporting the budgeting process for subsidiaries and ensuring alignment with overall company objectives
- Analyzing variances between actual results and budgeted figures, identifying potential issues and recommending corrective actions
- Forecasting future financial performance and identifying potential risks and opportunities
- Ensuring subsidiary reporting aligns with both local Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and the parent company's IFRS or other reporting standards
- Identifying and assessing financial risks related to subsidiary operations, such as liquidity, performance, and impairment risks
- Serving as the primary point of contact between the subsidiary's finance team and the parent company's finance department
- Preparing and presenting financial analysis and reports for stakeholders, including the parent company's CFO and other management
WHO YOU ARE
- A strong background in economics, business administration or a related field, with several years of professional experience
- Extensive experience in accounting, financial analysis, and reporting, often including experience with IFRS and local GAAP
- Capable of handling multiple projects or workstreams in a fast-paced environment
- A solid understanding of agile work practices, controlling systems and practices, and software-driven cost structures is a strong plus
- Interest or experience in the (digital) automotive industry and the (car) software domain
- Fluent in both English and German language
