Senior Accounting Specialist IFRS/Financial statements (f/m/d)

YOUR TEAM
We are a dedicated team of 13 experts specializing in Financial closing, accounts payable and receivable managment activities for the CARIAD SE. Our role is crucial in managing the closing and reporting processes to VW Group and ensuring the correct accounting treatments with all internal and external stakeholders and auditors. We report directly to CARIAD Board of Management and Volkswagen Group Accounting. Fullfilling the accounting requirements based on HGB and IFRS for CARIAD SE, ensure reliable delivery of month end reprting, supporting consolidation of legal entities and assisting our subsidiaries regarding accounting topics are key targets of our team.
WHO YOU ARE
- Preparation of monthly closing packages for CARIAD SE
- Strong focus on evaluation of development costs
- Close relationship with internal departments during month end processes
- Direct communication with auditors and VW Group Accounting
- Contribute to cross-departmental projects and independently manage highly complex sub-projects
- Identify and implement opportunities for technical and process improvements
WHAT YOU WILL DO
- Ideally a degree in accounting/controlling or business administration with a focus on Development costs and Monthend reporting
- Several years of professional experience in accounting/controlling, ideally within an auditing company
- Strong expertise in developments costs
- Excellent analytical skills and a structured approach to work
- High level of initiative, responsibility, and team orientation
- Commitment to continuous professional development
- A solid understanding of agile work practices and accounting systems
- Strong communication skills to all internal and external stakeholders (german and english)
- Interest or experience in the (digital) automotive industry and the (car) software domain
