(Senior) Software Engineer (ML Engineer) - AI Platform (m/f/d)

WHAT YOU WILL DO
- Develop, train, and implement deep learning models using multimodal inputs to provide high-quality data for AI development
- Build and scale data pipelines for training, inference, validation, error analysis, and continuous improvement of machine learning models
- Apply and advance model compression and optimization techniques (e.g., quantization, pruning, distillation) to ensure efficient inference on embedded hardware
- Monitor and analyze current research in deep learning, computer vision, and autonomous systems, translating insights into practical solutions for data selection and ground-truth generation
WHO YOU ARE
- University degree in Computer Science, Robotics, Electrical Engineering, Data Science, Scientific Computing, Machine Learning, Mathematics, Physics, or a related field with a focus on Artificial Intelligence
- Strong knowledge in data analysis as well as in the design and training of neural networks
- Experience with common machine learning frameworks such as PyTorch or TensorFlow
- Experience in software development with Python with a focus on high software quality
- Familiarity with software architectures, design patterns, and version control systems
- Experience or interest in multi-task learning, sensor fusion, or end-to-end AI systems (nice to have)
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work independently and collaboratively
- Excellent English skills, German is an advantage
