Thesis Prediction and Scene Understanding Autonomous Driving (f/m/d)
Environment
As part of Volkswagen Group Innovation, our team focuses on tasks in the field of AI & data analysis for the development of digital services for various brands of the Volkswagen Group. This includes topics such as the processing and analysis of vehicle data as well as the integration of artificial intelligence (AI) into digitized vehicles. Modern data analysis methods can detect changes in various vehicle parts that occur during different driving maneuvers and over time as part of aging processes. We will develop a predictive system to anticipate potential edge-case scenarios, preparing the autonomous vehicle stack for emergency situations. In these areas of innovation, we offer you the opportunity to participate in the research and development of intelligent algorithms within an interdisciplinary team and to help shape the mobility of tomorrow. If you are aiming for a thesis, the tasks and research questions will be determined together with the professor upon confirmation of supervision. A preceding internship would be desirable before starting the thesis
Possible tasks within this role
-
Development and implementation of concepts as part of your internship or thesis
-
Development of methods for scene understanding and the prediction of future scenarios in autonomous driving
-
Gaining experience as an AI researcher while working on highly relevant topics in the automotive industry
