Work Environment

Would you like to become part of the virtual vehicle development and simulation of Volkswagen Commercial Vehicles? We develop and implement innovative methods from the fields of Virtual Reality, Mixed Reality and Simulation for use in the vehicle development process. We are the central point of contact for 3D-visualization and operate the visualization center for commercial vehicle development. State-of-the-art 3D-glasses and input devices allow us to experience vehicles at an early stage. We build digital prototypes to virtually test and validate properties, and thus provide operational support for vehicle development. You are not afraid of complex data links from milestones, variants and markets and want to humanize demanding, manual data processes? In this case, you will find your task in the field of high end 3D-vehicle-visualization with a special focus on data preparation. Curious? We look forward to receiving your application!

  • Analyzing and simplifying complex 3D-data structures and hierarchies

  • Designing and conducting user tests to evaluate data preparation methods in close collaboration with professional 3D-visualizers

The final doctoral topic is defined together with the professor. The prerequisite for the cooperation is the confirmation of supervision as well as a confirmed delimitation of topics by the professor of a university or research institution entitled to confer a doctorate.
