Work environment
The main tasks of the department include preparing and analyzing the monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements of the Volkswagen Group in accordance with IFRS (International Financial Reporting Standards). To achieve this, we maintain close contact with the more than 950 fully consolidated domestic and international subsidiaries of the Volkswagen Group. The data we collect and consolidate across the Group serves as the basis for financial analysis, management, and both internal and external reporting on the economic situation of the Group and its brands. Possible Tasks within this Role
- Contributing to the preparation of Volkswagen’s separate and consolidated financial statements (monthly, quarterly, and annual closing)
- Designing and optimizing Group-wide accounting policies and processes
- Preparing, executing, and monitoring consolidation measures
- Supporting and advising domestic and international Group companies
- Preparing analyses of the consolidated financial statements and assisting with internal and external reporting (annual report, interim report, reports for the Board of Management and Supervisory Board)
Qualification requirements
- Completed degree in Business Administration with a focus on Accounting or a comparable qualification
- Advanced knowledge of accounting under IFRS and HGB
- Relevant practical experience in accounting for individual entities (general ledger) and/or in preparing consolidated financial statements in SAP
- German language level C1
- English language level B1
- Additional language skills are desirable
