Applications are invited from suitably qualified & experienced to fill the VWCV Brand Marketing Consultant position in the VWCV Department - NSO (Sandton)
Brief Role Description
Development and implementation of National and Dealer advertising, relationship marketing, internet and launch strategies to effectively build the brand’s market positioning and image in order to result in improved levels of consumer trust and confidence and increased sales for the brand.
Possible Tasks within this Role
- Develop briefs, implement and monitor product launches, product’s image and sales in the marketplace, all aspects of digital marketing and the online presence of the VW Commercial Vehicles brand i.e. search engines, social media platforms, etc
- Co-ordinate the implementation of CRM strategies, campaigns and all VW Commercial Vehicles brand media planning
- Co-ordinate and evaluate marketing research studies to ensure that all communications achieve the desired brand positioning objectives.
- Assist in the planning and execution of new product launches, motor shows and other brand events.
- Co-ordinate advertising plans with PR personnel to ensure uniform brand messages and synchronized exposure in the media.
- Response to customer email requests from the Customer Interaction Centre related to brand advertising.
- Develop and distribute campaign information and advertising bulletins to ensure up-to-date information is provided to Dealers.
- Co-ordinate the maintenance of accurate product, model year (MY) and pricing information communication by the Product Marketer and Pricing Analyst through customer-facing channels (e.g. website, point-of-sale material).
- Co-ordinate the approval by the Product Marketer of all point-of-sale and customer-facing material in terms of product specification in text, visuals and tables (includes website, silent salesmen, brochures, leaflets etc.).
- Order and distribute point-of-sale material for each brand product to Dealers to assist in vehicle sales.
- Responsibility for digital marketing on the website vw.co.za. To maintain and advance the effectiveness of the website by maintaining and updating website pages which includes liasing with internal teams
- To manage behavioural based personalistion on website and experience working with Smart Digital
- Plan, co-ordinate and monitor the Dealer advertising, events and promotions, including checking and approving dealer advertisements to ensure it is in line with CI and the brand tonality.
- Monitor and evaluate competitor advertising strategies and ad-spend.
- Monitor and control the departmental budget through forecasting, tracking and reconciling expenditure against planned spend.
- Perform general brand management administrative responsibilities
Qualification requirements

A formal 3-year National Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Marketing from a recognised institution |
Experience needed
|
A minimum of 3 years’ experience in Marketing Communications in an Automotive industry and/or Corporate environment i.e. Public Relations / Brand Promotions and Launches / Brand Advertising / Event management / Digital Marketing |
