Brief Role Description
Based in KZN within the VW Passenger Vehicles department, the successful incumbent will be responsible to partner with the Volkswagen Dealer Network to strategically steer the New Vehicle, MasterCars and Accessories sales with appropriate customer service delivery in order to achieve the company retail objectives..
Possible Tasks within this Role
- Develop and maintain a positive working relationship with Franchise Directors, Dealer Principals and portfolio managers through effective communication and query resolution to foster sound long term working relationships.
- Analyze the Dealer retail area of responsibility / retail potential to define the sales objective per dealer per region.
- Analyze regional and dealer market preferences to recommend to the dealer appropriate allocation of models and equipment levels that meet local market conditions.
- Develop key initiatives and provide guidance on dealer marketing activities, stock profile, sales mix, accessories retail, VAPs and HR capacity planning to ensure effective Dealer Sales Performance.
- Negotiate and agree sales and customer service targets with dealer management.
- Review quarterly business plans by Dealer to ensure that all objectives are addressed in line with planning and execution criteria.
- Analyze the Stock and Sales report to identify gaps and opportunities and devise actions plans to propose to dealer management for retail and wholesale.
- Analyze the aged stock report and devise action plans for both retail and wholesale of ageing units.
- Review the dealer sales process through the analyses of customer service reports to ensure effective process adherence and to implement process improvement where necessary.
- Review the monthly Sewell’s report per dealer, per region; compare to benchmark performance criteria to identify opportunities for used vehicles, new vehicles, aftersales, parts and business management improvement.
Qualification Requirements
Bachelor’s Degree or National Diploma in Marketing/ Commerce/ Business Management |
Experience Needed
Minimum of 5 years motor industry experience, ideally within some of the following fields: - Product Planning. - Sales Forecasting/ Volume Planning. - Franchise Development - Business/ Financial Management. - Brand Management. - Research |
