Brief Role Description
To ensure timeous part readiness and supply of all Local, CKD and Direct purchase components to support the different pre-series build milestones and to ensure that all systems/processes are in place for handover to series production.
Possible Tasks within this Role
- Chair local EMT meetings comprised of a cross divisional support team by highlighting risk parts / missing releases and getting the respective stakeholders to take action.
- Represent VWGA in CKD EMT meetings & escalate open points / risks for VWGA for the respective WOB counterparts to take action.
- Prepare & distribute part readiness reports for MY and new vehicle projects by updating the information in PROMON / TEVON, downloading the reports and sending it via email to all relevant stakeholders.
- Ensure parts meet requirements for projects milestone releases by ensuring all the necessary status releases or deviations are in place prior to the build milestones.
- Prepare Vorlage for project milestone releases in Pilot Halls, TPPA & local forums by updating, downloading and distributing the reports in the correct vorlage format.
- Ensure EBON/Scheduling agreement, Quality and Engineering approval (BMG) is complete before handover to LMC/CKD material control by checking the statuses in PROMON / TEVON and informing the necessary buyer, supplier, quality – or engineering representative.
- Ensure relevant part deviations are released for VWGA plant and cover our SOP dates by analyzing the deviations in relation to our build milestones and escalating any discrepancies.
- Investigate data queries by checking which parts are released for our plant and or / specific vehicles and escalating to the relevant department to resolve based on the nature of the issue
Qualification requirements
Degree or Diploma in Mechanical/Industrial/Electrical Engineering or Production Management / Supply Chain Management.
Experience needed
3 years experience gained within the automotive industry in a Logistics environment
Essentials
- Knowledge of Logistics processes and systems and its integration with the rest of the organization
- Knowledge of the PEP process for the introduction of new models (or components) and or options.
- Knowledge of the Tevon system including the reporting tool Promon.
