Applications are invited from suitably qualified & experienced candidates to fill the Temporary Auto Electrician position in the Assembly Department - Production (Kariega)
Brief Role Description
The successful candidate will be responsible for installing, testing and repairing electrical components in vehicles during the production process.
Possible Tasks within this Role
- Assemble and dismantle components on vehicles and test rigs
- Identify faults, repair and report corrective action to supervision
- Analyze re-occurring problems and introduce remedial / preventative actions
- Assist Engineers with analysis of components / systems in developmental stages
Qualification requirements
Be a qualified Auto-Electrician
Experience Needed
1-3 years relevant experience in a Manufacturing environment
Essentials
- Have proven technical knowledge, initiative and flexibility
- Be in possession of a valid driver’s license
- Be able to communicate at all levels
- Be positive, self-motivated and a team player that can work under pressure with proven analytical skills with an innovative approach to problem-solving
- Be prepared to work shifts and able to work without supervision to acceptable safety and quality standards
Added Advantage
- Experience in Assembly and End of Line environment
- Having sound up-to-date knowledge of VW products and Systems (i.e. SIDIS)
