ABOUR THE ROLE
The Talent Manager drives the attraction, development, and retention of talent to support business goals. The role ensures strong succession planning, builds a high-performance culture, and aligns workforce capabilities with current and future needs, while overseeing Learning Academy operations and talent development initiatives. This position is based in the Human Resources Division (Kariega)
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Develop and implement talent strategies aligned to business needs
- Build and manage talent pipelines for critical and scarce skills
- Advise and support management on talent management processes
- Partner with HR and leadership on workforce planning and future talent needs
- Drive long-term talent and succession planning
- Support Employment Equity and transformation objectives
- Lead workforce planning and talent pool development across divisions
- Manage and coordinate talent programmes and development initiatives
- Oversee Learning Academy operations, including budget, reporting, and revenue
- Ensure effective delivery of training programmes and organisational development interventions
- Manage payroll, compliance, and quality processes within HR relating to talent programmes
REQUIREMENTS
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources Management, Business Management or relevant HR related Degree
Experience:
- 5 years’ experience in HR Business Partnering, Development or Talent Management
- 3 to 5 years in leadership roles
- Proven experience in talent acquisition and succession planning
- Experience working with senior stakeholders and line managers
Technical & Behavioral Competencies:
- Strong interpersonal and stakeholder management skills
- Excellent communication and presentation abilities
- Strategic thinking with strong execution capability
- Data driven approach to decision making
- Knowledge of legislation and HR Best practices
- Knowledge of outcomes-based training, workplace assessments & Verification
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Results orientated and proactive
- High integrity and confidentiality
- Passionate about people development and organisational success
