Work environment

In our Group Components team, we are working on a completely novel heating and cooling system that has the potential to revolutionize today’s climate control solutions. As the technology is still in an early stage of development, your ideas and commitment are highly valued—right at the interface between research and real-world application. You can expect exciting projects in collaboration with start-ups, universities, and as part of innovative funded research programs. Become part of this dynamic environment and actively help shape the future of vehicle climate control! We offer, for example, a 4–6 month internship with the subsequent opportunity to continue the collaboration in the form of a thesis project (e.g., a Master’s thesis).

Possible tasks within this Role

  • Conducting simulations of elastocaloric systems
  • Planning, executing, and evaluating a prototype of an elastocaloric heat pump
  • Supporting our research team
  • Researching relevant scientific literature
  • Developing optimization measures (simulation-based and/or design-oriented)

Qualification requirements

  • Enrolled Bachelor’s or Master’s students (with at least 89 credit points completed) in natural sciences, engineering, or a comparable field
  • Good to very good academic performance
  • Prior experience in the simulation of thermodynamic systems
  • Initial experience with tools such as Modelica/Dymola or comparable software
  • Solution-oriented and creative working style, with enthusiasm for teamwork
  • German or English language level B2
