ABOUT THE ROLE
We are seeking a highly skilled and self-driven SSA Logistics Analyst to join the Group Parts team. The role supports the Sub-Saharan Africa After-Sales function by improving parts availability, supply chain performance, and customer satisfaction. It is responsible for coordinating cross-border logistics activities, ensuring compliance with customs and documentation requirements - This position is based in the Group Parts Department (Centurion)
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Compile & maintain end-to-end KPI dashboards, variance & gap analysis and reporting.
- Perform daily Back-order tracking, ETA monitoring and escalation.
- Inventory optimisation, stock parameters and availability.
- Conduct pricing, demand, and parts basket analysis and document proposal.
- Shipment tracking, transit performance, cost insight.
- 3PL/forwarder KPI management, service recovery.
- Ensure customs compliance, HS codes and documentation control.
- Ensure regulatory and audit compliance and risk management.
- Conduct inventory profile, ageing stock and obsolescence control
- Logistics cost optimisation, modelling, implementation tracking.
- SOPs, process updates, audit evidence, reporting compliance
- Cross-functional analytics, coordination, programme support
REQUIREMENTS
Minimum Qualifications:
- A recognized 3-year Bachelor’s degree / National diploma in Quality Management, Logistics/ Supply Chain Management or Imports and Exports related discipline.
Experience:
- A minimum of 3 years automotive industry experience, particularly in Logistics.
- Basic understanding of VWGA models, options, and technical data systems to support parts identification, analysis, and reporting will be added advantage.
Technical & Behavioral Competencies
- Warehouse operations, inventory control, lead-time understanding
- Parts ordering, availability drivers, back-order and service level management
- Analytically minded; methodical; organised; thorough
- Strong administration and reporting capability
- Good written and oral communication at different levels
- Assertive follow up with service providers to meet deadlines
- Computer literacy (MS Outlook, Excel, Power BI, PowerPoint, and Word) – intermediate/advanced
