Brief Role Description
This position is a career level 20P+ and is located in Reston, VA with a role classification of Hybrid.
The role has two main functions:
First, the position of TOFC is leading the BUGATTI RIMAC team through a max. 3-year process of transitioning out of VWGoA and to plan, build, and implement all administrative, legal, and financial functions to assure world-class NAR operations of BR under NewCo.
Within this process, the TOFC will closely collaborate with BR’s NAR leadership team as well as the CEO office of VWGoA through a transition process forming BR NewCo in NAR. This will include:
- Phase 1: Identification of all required vehicle certification, importation, and general administrative functions/operations that are necessary to compliantly certify, import, and sell BR products in the US and Canda.
- Phase 2: Identification and assessment of options to establish and operate a world class importer organization for BR in the North American Market.
- Phase 3: Assessment of above mentioned required vehicle certification, importation, and G&A functions as well as evaluating various options and alternatives to create NewCo operations.
- Phase 4: Implement and build all import- and operations-relevant areas to formalize and grow a North American Regional Importer Organization.
Second, design and develop all necessary components for a cohesive financial planning and reporting system for Bugatti and Rimac of the Americas as well as to create a successful and sustainable finance business model for Bugatti and Rimac of the Americas to operate in the America-Canada markets. The identification of KPI and strategic processes through the analysis of operations costs and revenues determine the effectiveness of the spending and the exploration of business opportunity. The role is responsible for the financial statements & compliance checks for both NSCs in North America (Bugatti and Rimac US/CAN). Consequently, the role manages the finance processes on a consistent basis in conjunction with the COO: Forecasting, Budgeting- and Planning Round process, ongoing cost analysis, cost and revenues optimization, standard reporting procedures to VWGoA, Bugatti and Rimac of the Americas, Bugatti Rimac d.o.o., managing auditing processes, preparing Financial Reviews with HQ, managing dealer margin payments (KPI) as well as supporting functional areas in managing project spend approval and procurement/legal processes.
The TOFC will also serve as the general administrative lead of BR NAR responsible for all teams’ administrative inquiries.
Possible Tasks within this Role
BR Transition Office Leadership (40%)
- Identification of Transition-relevant functions and operational areas across VWGoA.
- Assessment of optimal future solutions for operations-critical areas under NewCo.
- Identification and implementation for new, future solutions under NewCo.
- Communications across BUGATTI SAS, BUGATTI NAR, and VWGoA.
Design & Development of Bugatti and Rimac Financial & Business Reporting Framework (10%)
- Design all relevant financial statements for both Bugatti and Rimac US/CAN under NewCo.
- Integrate Bugatti Rimac d.o.o.’s annual budget- and long-term business planning process into Bugatti and Rimac of the Americas under NewCo.
Monthly Controlling & Approvals 10%
- Provides analysis, appraisals, and recommendations on cost optimization within operations.
- Approves and initiates chargeback requests to other National Sales Companies.
Forecasting & Reporting 10%
- Responsible for managing the overall forecasting process.
- Utilizes SAP for financial analysis and reconciliation of accounts on a monthly basis.
- Provides ongoing analysis and reporting on overall financial performance of Bugatti and Rimac.
- Prepares monthly expense and recovery forecasts which are transparent & consistent in U.S. and European formats (Bugatti SAS and Rimac d.o.o.)
- Prepares monthly brand cost analysis & variance reporting according to requirements of Bugatti Rimac.
- Prepares monthly business report to internal stakeholders and Bugatti Rimac d.o.o.
Coordination Accounting & Treasury 10%
- Coordinates accounting & treasury activities (GL, billing and collections, supplier and dealers master data, incoming and outgoing payments, vehicles and parts accounting).
- Oversees monthly close financial reporting to Bugatti Rimac d.o.o., intracompany statements, cash flows and bank accounts.
Risk Management & Compliance 10%
- Assists and manages external and internal audit compliance, including risk management through the internal control system and creation of policies.
- Utilizes check & balance procedures, four-eye principles, and early warning processes to ensure proper control and compliance.
- Prepares and monitors Variable Margin payout.
General Administrative Leadership 10%
- Coordinate all general administrative processes across relevant stakeholder with BUGATTI SAS, and BUGATTI NAR.
