Applications are invited from suitably qualified & experienced candidates to fill the Product Compliance Management System Officer position in the Product Compliance Management System Department - Product Development (Kariega)
Brief Role Description
To ensure that guidelines, standards and regulations for the compliance implementation of PCMS from the Group and VW passenger car brand are crafted and implemented, and to maintain product conformity as a cross-divisional and cross-functional 2nd line of defense function (i.e. steering and advisory body for operational areas). To establish an advanced KPI and target system, and regular reporting routines
Possible Tasks within this Role
Product Compliance Management (PCMS)
- Maintain, manage, and continuously improve the Product Compliance Management System (PCMS) across all VW Group Africa plants and sites in alignment with VW Passenger Cars Brand requirements.
- Prepare, maintain, and present management reports on Product Compliance performance, progress, and key activities, including investigations and complaints.
- Develop and update PCMS documentation, including Organisational Directives (ODs), Process Standards (PS), Work Instructions (WI), and Blank Forms (BF).
- Provide expert guidance, training, and support on compliance processes and regulatory requirements.
- Monitor and coordinate the hints, queries, and complaints process to ensure timely action and effectiveness.
- Evaluate the adequacy and effectiveness of compliance controls and recommend improvements.
- Identify and assess Product Compliance risks and advise stakeholders accordingly.
- Stay informed of regulatory developments and evolving compliance best practices.
- Review monitoring reports to identify anomalies, engage with responsible areas, and support corrective actions.
- Participate in audits, reviews, investigations, projects, and compliance training initiatives.
- Develop and deliver targeted Product Compliance communication campaigns.
Quality Management (QMS)
- Coordinate QMS activities, including revision cycles, formatting guidance, and document numbering control.
Risk Management (RMS)
- Support divisional Risk Management processes by coordinating inputs, consolidating feedback, and analysing emerging risks.
