Brief Role Description
Providing the ONE.AfterSales division with opportunities for turnover growth, improved profitability, customer and dealer satisfaction through the development of competitive pricing strategies on parts and accessories. Implement inflationary prices as well as price changes authorized daily and Business Case approvals, maintain price files (including export price files). Developing business cases for Genuine Parts campaigns and promotions and obtaining approval from ONE.AfterSales management and Finance Controlling
Possible Tasks within this Role
- Formulate and implement Over the Counter / Own Workshop Genuine Parts marketing activities that promote slow to medium parts which results in higher sales levels and reduced obsolescence
- Work with the After Sales Marketing Consultant to develop marketing briefs for campaigns and promotions
- Updating and tracking Dealer performance
- Development of Dealer bulletins for campaigns and promotions
- Group Systems use and implementations – pricing, business warehouse and operational systems.
- Prepare parts pricing business cases and obtain approval as required – promotions, alignments, strategic re-positioning.
- Update systems with approved part price changes and communicate part price changes to relevant DMS.
- Use of other group systems and templates for reporting as required.
- Strategic parts master management with Finance Controlling and Brand.
- Benchmarking & indexing parts together with Product Specialists.
- Price query resolution and management – DSC & CIC cases.
- Part price promotions / “specials” – price management depending on duration and report back on performance.
- Parts profitability management.
- Inflationary price benchmarking – exclusive and/or common, management, presentation preparation, implementation and communication.
- Cost price issues escalated to purchasing and/or brand.
- Pricing / Turnover reporting analysis as required for each brand.
- Assist with forecasting and budgeting of turnover and profitability.
- Report on monthly key performance measures to superiors.
- Manage / co-ordinate the activities / strategies common between ONE.AfterSales and brands.
- Strategic parts master consolidation with Brand Pricing Analysts.
- Regular review of pricing through monitoring of outlier GP’s (low/high) and loss maker or low margin part reviews
Qualification requirements
Diploma / bachelor’s degree in marketing, Accounting, Financial Management, Sales, Business Management, Data Management/Science, Commerce, Engineering, IT or related field
A postgraduate qualification (i.e. MBA/MBL/Honours) would serve as a distinct advantage
Experience
3 years Pricing / Financial / Technical experience / Marketing experience in a Sales or After Sales environment
Essentials
- Advanced proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) and data analysis tools (e.g. Power BI, Tableau, Python, Google Analytics and similar) is desired.
- Sound understanding of the market and competitive environment
- Critical thinking
- Demonstrate Responsibility, Accountability & Initiative
- Financial analytical skills & accuracy
