Applications are invited from suitably qualified & experienced candidates to fill Motor Mechanic position in the Technical Service Centre Department – NSO (Kariega)
Brief Role Description
Executes mechanical service and repair activities at Service Garage (NSO -Technical Services Centre - Kariega)
Possible Tasks within this Role
- Servicing and repair VW Passenger, Audi and VW Commercial vehicles
- Doing all electrical repairs on VW Passenger, Audi and VW Commercial models
- Ensuring road safety through quality workmanship
- Staying abreast of development by reading workshop bulletins and workshop manuals
- Ensuring that workshop regulations and safety are adhere to
- Maintaining a clean working area
- Training allocated apprentices
- Assisting with preparing vehicles for Press launches
- Fitment of required accessories to our models Ensuring that all work carried out in the workshop or by the appointed supplier is of the required quality
Qualification requirements
- Have a minimum N3 Mechanical /Electrical Engineering.
- Trade Test Certificate Motor Mechanic.
- Valid Master Technician qualification at dealer level.
Experience needed
Have 3 years’ post-qualification experience in an aftersales workshop environment
Essentials
- Must be High Voltage Technician
- Computer literacy (Ms Office).
- Require ODIS and ElsaPro knowledge.
- Operational knowledge of Volkswagen Group diagnostic equipment (VAS/VCI)
- Have a sound up to date knowledge of VW, Audi & Commercial products.
- Be capable of working without supervision to high safety and quality standards.
- Have proven technical knowledge and its applications and be able to demonstrate initiative and flexibility.
- Be flexible when required to work overtime at short notice.
- Be in possession of an un-endorsed driver’s license (minimum old Code 08).
