Internship - Electrical Characterization & Testing of Power Modules (f/m/d)

Possible tasks within this role
- Supporting static and dynamic testing of automotive power modules and contribute to the implementation of suitable test solutions
- Designing, executing, and documenting power‑module tests based on functional and safety‑related requirements
- Co-developing a software tool for automated testing of power modules, including test sequence automation and data processing
- Designing and developing tools such as adapter boards to enable efficient and precise test execution
- Developing and implementing automated test procedures and evaluation routines to optimize testing processes
Qualification requirements

Enrollment in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a comparable degree program from the 5th bachelor semester onward (Master’s students preferred)

Good to excellent academic performance and a strong interest in applied research and practical testing
-
Solid knowledge of power electronics, particularly in the fields of automotive inverter systems, hardware development, and power‑module packaging technologies

Practical laboratory experience, including handling of common lab equipment such as power supplies, oscilloscopes, function generators, electronic loads, and temperature chambers

Relevant experience with MATLAB, PLECS, SPICE, and Python
-
Experience in setting up and safely operating high‑voltage test benches is an advantage

Independent working style and quick comprehension

English language level B2
