Brief role description
Join our dynamic "Development of E-Drive, Power Electronics & Transmission" team within Group Components at our Kassel, Wolfsburg, and Gaimersheim locations. We are at the forefront of developing all future pulse inverters (PWR) for electric drives within the VW Group. Possible tasks within this role
- Support various development tasks in the areas of design and simulation of power electronics
- Develop and validate circuit and system models for power electronic systems and electric drives
- Investigate and evaluate innovative control methods for pulse inverters, as well as analyze and present measurement and simulation data
- Expand design tools and implement individual subcomponent models
- Work with AI methods (supervised/unsupervised learning, reinforcement learning)
Qualification requirements
- Students in a bachelor's program with more than 89 credit points or a master's program in electrical engineering, systems engineering, control engineering, or comparable fields of study
- Good to very good academic performance
- Knowledge in the field of power electronics or electric drives
- Initial experience with software such as MATLAB / Simulink or LT-SPICE is desirable
- German and English language skills (level B2)
