Brief Role Description
Based in Sandton within VW Brand department, the successful incumbent will be responsible to develop, promote and maintain a premium marketing strategy to further step up the Premium positioning of the Ducati Brand in the market. The Marketing and PR Manager leads the overall Marketing, Communication, PR activities and strategy for Ducati South Africa on a national basis and in collaboration with the growing Dealer Network
Possible Tasks within this Role
- To liaise and interact daily with the media in order to establish networks and communications channels to heighten visibility and enhance the image of Ducati and its products
- Assisting the Brand Head in the development and implementation of promotional strategies across all marketing channels and collaboration with the dealer network
- Managing the online and offline channels (print, digital, website, community management, social media campaigns) and activations to ensure the premium positioning of the brand in the market
- Overseeing all marketing activities related to advertisement and sales promotion
- Analyzing the market to identify the target audience and current market trends
- Occasionally assessing [the product/service] to determine if any adjustments are needed to match customers’ demands statistics
- Ensuring a positive public image and consistent media coverage of our company’s initiatives/programs/actions and objectives
- Digital and social media campaigns: Design, develop, implement and manage as well as Management of agencies,
- Ongoing website management and development along with the agency in-line with the Ducati Motor Holding requirements and guidance.
- Responding to media inquiries for information release
- Building impactful public relations strategies that shape the public perception of our organization
- Maintaining strong connections with media representatives
- To supply accurate product, consumer and corporate information and photographic services to the media to enhance and promote the Ducati brand.
- To initiate, plan, organize and execute local and international press launches and conferences to the media, business and political stakeholders.
- To draft, process and distribute media releases about Ducati products and the Ducati corporate brand.
- To monitor and analyse new product and brand publicity generated.
- To act as a company spokesperson for Ducati South Africa.
- To facilitate customer service / experience concerns which have received heightened attention in the media
Qualification requirements
A formal 3-year National diploma or Bachelor’s degree from a recognized institution in Marketing/Communications Science/Journalism/Public Relations/Comm
Experience needed
Minimum of 5 years’ experience in automative Marketing and Communications
