Vehicle Integration Specialist

Brief Role Description
Coordinate ORU robustness testing and support the release statements for the vehicles sold in the North American market which will support over the air updates; coordinate test plan with partners to ensure proper testing and resources are planned; plan and organize needed parts and vehicles; assure that all test information is provided, ensuring relevance to the region; ensure that all test orders are performed on each component/control module in each of the necessary vehicle and powertrain configurations for defined test phases; create regular status reports as requested by partner teams; support release recommendation for ORU Robustness for software and hardware tested; ensure complete documentation (failure report, vehicle protocol, network traces) on electrical communication errors during the launch phase of vehicles which will support ORU; ensure error documentation uploads to the central database and follows up directly with responsible engineers for resolution; provide regular reports of failure ticket status to partners in VWAG and Chattanooga; attend the Fehlerrunde and Task Force meetings as needed in order to resolve failure tickets quickly; test over-the-air updates of various vehicle control modules; troubleshoot as necessary; update test vehicle fleet via hardware installations, software updates, etc.; track/update the vehicle configurations in our tracking systems; provide guidance, advice, feedback and support to the team members with less experience; ensure specialized knowledge and team processes are well documented.
Qualification requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Mechatronic, Industrial, or Automotive Engineering or related field of study and 60 months of experience. Experience must have included: testing automotive electronic system and automotive control modules; automotive control module root cause analysis; understanding of vehicle communication networks and the ability to capture traces; electric vehicle system architectures; troubleshooting communication breakdowns within the network by analyzing the network communication. Domestic and international travel up to 20%.
