Brief Role Description

Volkswagen Group of America’s Scholars Program offers students the opportunity to gain practical, real-world experience in the automotive industry through a year-round, paid placement. Designed for students actively enrolled in a business-related degree program who are eager to apply classroom learning in a professional environment, this program provides hands-on exposure to projects that drive innovation across our business.

Program Information: 

Year Long Program Start Date (non-negotiable): August 10, 2026 

Part-time during school year, full- time during school breaks 

Program Duration: August 10, 2026– August 7, 2027

Possible Tasks within this Role

The Product Management Scholar will support the NAR-Gx team, gaining exposure to all aspects of a vehicle project throughout its lifecycle—from concept and planning to implementation and market launch. This position provides hands-on experience with the concept-to-dealer process and collaboration across key business functions such as Finance, Production, Quality, Purchasing, and Engineering. The Scholar will assist in daily project and lifecycle management activities to ensure all deliverables and milestones are met. 

Role Responsibilities 

Support project work for vehicle lines, contributing to the launch of new features and next-generation vehicles. 

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to complete tasks aligned with project milestones and timelines. 

Participate in relevant committee meetings to maintain alignment with project targets and decisions. 

Lead occasional special projects that drive change and resolve issues related to specific components and vehicle features. 

Prepare decision papers and management presentations, ensuring stakeholder feedback is consolidated and aligned. 

Assist with preparation, follow-up, and coordination for weekly product and lifecycle team meetings. 

Qualification Requirements

  • Rising junior, senior or recent graduate
  • Strong GPA
  • Strong preference for Business or related degree
  • Interest in product or project management 

Skills 

  • Proficiency in Microsoft 365
  • Strong communication skills and cultural awareness.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
