Electrical Engineer - High Voltage System Function Test

Brief Role Description

Identify, confirm, and maintain a database of test routes for field drives based on destination and/or test features; organize test plans (static and dynamic) and coordinates with the interested participants; execute all phases of the test and evaluation from planning, vehicle preparation, test execution, results documentation and follow up; provide documentation (failure report, vehicle protocol, network traces) on electrical communication errors during production in Chattanooga or during the launch phase of vehicles in the field; upload the documentation to the central database and follow up directly with responsible engineers for resolution; provide local support for necessary improvement/change regarding to the electrical vehicle application (HV system especially) for North American region and keep on seeking optimization in term of quality/performance/cost with the support from R&D Germany; maintain a fleet of test vehicles with the latest software and hardware levels; maintain test benches and simulators with the latest levels and preparation for the testing activities. Hybrid; office- and home based.

Qualification requirements

Requirements: Bachelor’s degree  in Engineering or related field of study or foreign degree equivalent and 24 months experience. Experience must have included vehicle control systems bench test, evaluation, diagnostic; Jira/Confluence. Up to 40% domestic travel.
