Volkswagen develops and produces key components of electric vehicles in-house and is establishing new expertise and production sites worldwide. At the same time, we collaborate with the world’s leading suppliers at both Group and brand level to build the best possible car for our customers. The battery holds special significance for us—from the cell level to the complete system. At the Center of Excellence for E-Mobility in Braunschweig, battery systems for electric and hybrid vehicles are developed and manufactured for the entire Volkswagen Group. This includes not only the design and development of high-voltage battery systems, but also the development of electronics and software for the overall system. The “Testing and Validation” division ensures compliance with our strict requirements for functionality, robustness, and safety across all functions, projects, and organizations involved in battery development—through intensive testing procedures.
Possible Tasks within this Role
- Contributing to algorithm development in the context of Big Data, with optional application of machine learning methods
- Independently reviewing, processing, and preparing test and field data
- Exploring and familiarizing oneself with data analysis tools
- Supporting the interpretation of collected data and creating reports and presentation-ready materials using standard MS Office applications
Qualification requirements
- (Bachelor’s/Master’s) degree program in Computer Science, Mathematics, or a comparable field with (very) good academic performance
- Knowledge of data analysis methodologies using Python
- Experience in using Microsoft Office products
- Initial experience in the field of artificial intelligence and/or battery technology is desirable
- German language level C1
- English language level B2
