Internship Autonomous Driving - SDS Guidance (f/m/d)
Work Environment
The field of “Autonomous Driving” (AD), with applications such as “Mobility as a Service” (MaaS) and “Transport as a Service” (TaaS), will play a central role in the transformation of mobility. This requires optimized vehicles and new approaches for their provision and operation – opening up a new business model for Volkswagen AG. This model is intended to serve as a platform for various AD systems and providers, enabling the autonomous transport of passengers and goods in urban areas worldwide. We need you for this! If you are excited about developing Volkswagen’s first autonomous vehicle and taking responsibility within a team for driving sustainable mobility change, we look forward to your application. Writing a master’s thesis is possible.
Possible Tasks within this Role
- Support the development and optimization of algorithms for autonomous driving
- Analyze and process large datasets to identify optimization potential
- Apply artificial intelligence (AI) and machine learning methods to solve complex autonomous driving challenges in real-world operations
- Work directly on and with the vehicle to implement and test developed solutions
- Collaborate within an interdisciplinary team in Germany and the USA
Qualification requirements
- Students enrolled in a master’s program in Electrical Engineering, Physics, Computer Science,
- Mechanical Engineering, or comparable fields
- Good to very good academic performance
- German and English language proficiency at level B2
- Experience in software development (e.g., C, C++, MATLAB, Python, …)
- Experience in applying and training AI models, as well as data analysis
The following documents must be submitted with your application
- Curriculum Vitae
- Current certificate of enrolment
- Current transcript of records
- In case of a compulsory internship, acertificate from the university
- Work permit for non-EU citizens
Keywords
