Role Description
The Sales Operations Specialist is responsible for forecast, production and order management and sales and inventory reporting for multiple car lines. This role provides coordination and support to Volkswagen Brand Canada and the NAR Region by ensuring that all activities within the supply chain segments are performed and aligned to support the national and regional sales targets and VW Brand financials.
Salary range is dependent on factors such as industry-based experience, skills, training, credentials, and other qualifications. The salary range for this role is $80,000.00 to $95,000.00, actual pay may vary based on experience, education, and internal compensation practices.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Gain familiarity of product content information for assigned VWC carlines
- Set-up and maintain systems with supply chain related product information (Forecast data, Dealer ordering tables, Data Warehouse maintenance, etc.)
- Perform analysis to determine net production capacity available for allocation of all sales channels
- Creation, review and accurate and timely submission of sales orders for responsible carlines
- Manage special orders and order management processes for new model launch, CVS, Fleet etc.
- Manage model year change over and end of production cycles
- Review and reconciliation of order specifications (rectifying inaccuracies between factory and sales company)
- Reconciliation of factory forecast to ensure accuracy in installation rates (Engine, Options) and Carline trim mix management
- Communicate to Brand Management on Carline performance and dynamics and flag any potential deviations/risks to the planned production and sales performance/planning
- Timely and accurate preparation of weekly and monthly reporting
- Act as primary liaison between factory planning groups and Volkswagen Brand Canada; establish and develop relationships with key NAR and Factory partners; and lead meetings with VW Brand partners to ensure alignment on vehicle order optimization
- Stop order and stop sales management of vehicle inventory
- Management of Sales programs (Floorplan reimbursement, other Dealer reimbursements)
- Supporting preparation of Retail program rules in line with Sales reporting policies
- Supporting preparation and executing Dealer network communications
Qualifications
- Post-secondary education in Business or a related field (Bachelor's degree preferred)
- 5+ years experience in a similar Sales Operation role
- Experience with vehicle supply chain
- Analytical thinker with negotiation and influencing skills
- Communication skills – interpersonal, presentation & written
- Computer savvy – proficient with Excel and Microsoft applications
- Ability to multi-task and work in fast-paced environment
- Exceptionally strong time management skills
