Brief Role Description
The Sr Mgr of Operator Enablement of ADMT LLC. will lead all ADMT LLC. activities related to the implementation of customer solutions in the US and the on-site enablement of third-party operators running a fleet of ID.Buzz ADs.
In his/her capacity he/she is working in alignment with the global operator enablement framework and closely collaborates with the Global MOIA Headquarter on concepts for implementation.
He/she will be responsible for leading the local customer project organization for US Go to markets (e.g. Deployment on Uber in LA), define and implement concepts for remote guidance, B2B support, operator staff enablement, as well as sales and after-sales processes. He/she is preparing and enabling the external third-party operator to take over operational responsibilities for the ID.Buzz AD fleets incl. training development & provisioning, maintenance/wear & tear work, auditing & day-to-day operational tasks.
He/she will also support setting up remote assistance operations to allow for customer support while vehicles are on trips.
The Sr Mgr of Operator Enablement will be accountable for customer project success, hand-over of operational tasks to third-party operators and aligned processes for fleet operations in the areas of sales/aftersales and adherence to global standards and frameworks for Operations of ID.Buzz AD fleets.
Possible Tasks within this Role
Management & Leadership (20%)
- Leading the US based GOES organization for customer project management, sales & aftersales, remote guidance operations & third-party operator training.
- Implement continuous improvement processes for the department, assuring continuous learning of employees and the organization.
- Assure cross-organizational and cross-company alignment on concepts for fleet operations.
- Manage, Mentor, coach and develop employees.
Customer project management (10%)
- Shape and participate in customer project management organization.
- Engage with Customers on timeline, deliverables & requirements for successful customer deployments.
- Advocate for customer requirements in the global delivery organization, summarize and present on customer needs based on customer conversations.
- Assure facility (incl. network and connectivity) availability for development and commercial operations acc. global facility requirements.
- Assure timely and accurate customer communications and customer success.
Sales & Aftersales (25%)
- Develop, align and implement processes for Sales & Import processes for US Go to market deployments.
- Engage with VWGoA, MOIA/ADMT organization and VWCV to align on concepts for aftersales and sales processes.
- Define deviations from standard ID.Buzz passenger vehicle implementations and initiate and execute on implementing those.
- Setup all operational processes to assure smooth and working aftersales pipelines.
- Setup and implement import and sales processes for the AV fleets
Training & Development for internal and external third-party operators (25%)
- Align and execute hand-over of operational tasks to third-party operators towards commercial operations by ensuring accurate training for all relevant ID.Buzz AD operations.
- Develop training concepts and formats for US based third-party operators, incl. alignment of training content with technical teams for all relevant roles in commercial operations of ID.Buzz AD fleets. Understand US-specific customer and regulatory requirements for operator trainings.
- Delivery of training, continuous development & auditing of third-party operator staff to assure safe operations of commercial AV fleets.
Remote Guidance (10%)
- Develop operations strategy and ramp-up remote guidance operations for AVs in close collaboration with technical development teams and global processes for remote guidance.
- Prepare and drive decisions for remote guidance center strategy in US, incl. location strategy, role descriptions, hiring, implementation & improvements.
- Understand local regulatory context for remote guidance operations and adapt operations strategy and processes accordingly
- Align on safety critical Service levels for remote guidance with customers and global product team
Qualification requirements
Years of Relevant Experience
- 10+ years’ leadership & management experience in automotive or high-tech industry
- 5+ years’ outstanding & proven experience in conceptualizing and setting up fleet operations and associated processes (e.g. aftersales, staff enablement) in automotive, mobility, technology applications, preferable in Level 4 autonomous driving
- 5+ years’ of experience in leading large scale projects in complex environments
Education
Required:
- Master’s degree in business, engineering, logistics, or comparable areas
Desired:
- Additional qualifications in finance, autonomous driving, artificial intelligence

Compensation Data
In Los Angeles, California, the salary range for this role will be $245,000 - $265,000, depending on education and years of relevant experience. Salary is determined by geographical location and adjusted accordingly.
