Responsibilities:

  • Lead business improvements and change initiatives
  • Participate in and contribute to the leadership of the Digital:Hub, identifying and working on strategic initiatives to continually improve results 
  • Oversee and drive technological, product & design innovation initiatives within the company.
  • Identify strategic and technological, product & design trends and drive measures to stay competitive
  • Oversee project progress by conducting weekly meetings with technical and product teams, ensuring delivery
  • Review management tools to verify that project deliveries meet iteration goals.
  • Define and implement technology scalability strategies in coordination with the Volkswagen Global IT.
  • Measure and optimize the impact of technical decisions on operational efficiency and financial outcomes.
  • Build understanding of stakeholder requirements and systems landscape in the corresponding business area 
  • Support the feature development
  • Work directly with clients and Digital Hub Leadership to support business development efforts.
  • Lead multiple teams and projects concurrently, managing varied scales and durations.
  • Support the development/prioritization of products on epic level, support product ideation and bootstrapping of new products/projects
  • Align and balance different requirements from UX, Technical and Product perspective for the products and projects
  • Identify, set and track ambitious goals for teams to ensure successful delivery and continuous improvement
  • Give direct reports & team members regular feedback through regular 1:1s, providing actionable feedback based on concrete examples
  • Proactively seek feedback on their own performance, sharing openly areas for improvement and encouraging a Digital:Hub wide feedback  culture
  • Build a strong, healthy culture for the corresponding organization
  • Monitor team technical performance metrics (KPIs) and propose actionable improvements.
  • Ensure technical decisions align with the business vision and overall company objectives. 

Requirements:

  • 7+ years in technical leadership roles, with extensive experience in managing agile teams, scaling technologies, and driving innovation across multiple projects. 
  • Strong proficiency in agile development practices and sprint/backlog management 
  • Demonstrated experience in defining technology scalability strategies and implementing technical innovations 
  • Experience in bootstrapping, developing, managing IT products or larger-scale projects 
  • Expertise in performance monitoring (KPIs), technical evaluations, and best practices in software development 
  • Ability to document technical solutions and establish technical guidelines, reference architectures, and organizational standards 
  • Strong communication and presentations skills  
  • Professional working proficiency of English required. German skills valuable 
  • Flexibility to attend meetings across different time zones, participate in industry conferences, and occasional travel for client or leadership engagements.
