Responsibilities:
- Design, build, and maintain robust and scalable data pipelines and ETL processes to support data integration and transformation.
- Develop and optimize data architectures, ensuring data quality, integrity, and accessibility.
- Collaborate with data analysts to understand data needs and provide efficient data solutions.
- Implement data governance and security measures to protect sensitive information.
- Monitor and troubleshoot data systems to ensure optimal performance and reliability.
- Work with large datasets, employing advanced data processing techniques and technologies.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest industry trends and technologies in data engineering and recommend improvements.
Requirements:
- Experience: 8+ years in Data Engineering or related fields.
- Education: Bachelor's or Master's in Computer Science, IT, or related field or equivalent proven experience.
- Technical Skills: Strong proficiency in Python and SQL for data processing and query optimization.
- Experience with DBT.
- Solid understanding of Clean Code principles, CI/CD best practices, and software engineering fundamentals.
- Familiarity with AWS CDK, Infrastructure-as-Code, and system integration methods (APIs, FTP).
- Knowledge of data modeling, data warehousing concepts, and database design and operations.
- Tools & Platforms: Hands-on experience with cloud-native development on AWS (Azure or GCP also considered).
- Services such as AWS Lambda, Redshift, EC2, CloudWatch, and GitHub Actions.
- Soft skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, excellent communication and collaboration skills.
- Fluent in English.
Nice to Have:
- Experience with Dagster, Data Vault modeling, real-time data processing, or machine learning frameworks, NoSQL Databases.
- Familiarity with BI tools such as Tableau, Power BI, or QlikView.
