The role:

As a Data Engineer junior with Python, you will play a crucial role in building and maintaining our data infrastructure on AWS. You will work closely with our data team to develop, manage, and optimize data pipelines using Spark. This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to grow their skills in data engineering and work with cutting-edge technologies.

 

Key responsibilities:

  • You will work on a day-to-day basis with our design, backend and testing team to build a scalable and solid product.
  • Design, build and manage the data pipelines, ensuring all event data is seamlessly integrated into the database.
  • Monitor and troubleshoot data pipeline issues, ensuring data accuracy and integrity.
  • Participate in code reviews and contribute to improving best practices and standards.
  • Ensure the security, integrity, and compliance of data according to industry and company standards.
  • Analysis of new functionalities/system improvements.
  • Document data engineering processes and workflows.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • Professional experience in Python. Another programming language used for data processing is a plus.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and communicate effectively.
  • Eagerness to learn and adapt to new technologies and methodologies.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Previous project experience in data engineering or a related field.
  • Knowledge in AWS services such as S3, Glue, Lambda, DynamoDB.
