The Role:

  • A Delivery Manager is tasked with shaping and governing the Portfolio of the Digital:Hub, guaranteeing the thorough implementation of IT projects/products for the whole stakeholders across the Volkswagen Group, delivering business value and outcomes, while working within deadlines, costs, quality, and security stipulations. Furthermore, it's responsible to manage the commercial elements of our projects and spearhead pre-sales efforts. Delivery Managers collaborate closely with Technical Directors to secure sustainable and successful delivery and relationships with our stakeholders across the Volkswagen Group. 

Possible Tasks within this Role

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • 1.Portfolio/Project/Product Management:

    • Support project management processes by aligning the agile project delivery with standard methodologies.
    • Coordinate with IT experts involved in the projects and establish close collaboration with our agile teams Represent VW Digital:HUB in the relevant IT organizations of the Volkswagen Group, as well as in other IT events.
    • Help our VW Group stakeholders to execute their digital programs, which results in business benefits, through technical leadership, project management, and delivery lifecycle oversight
    • Provide guidance on feasibility analysis, deployment approaches, Agile implementation leadership, coordination of development, and production support services.
    • Establish and drive efficient cooperation with other teams Support the definition of the portfolio of projects and products for the Digital:Hub
    • Define the on-boarding and ramp up of projects/products
    • Support the delivery of the assigned projects, ensuring the use of the standard methodology and the standardization of the methods and tools applied.
    • Manage the development of End-2-End projects, in all its phases (design, planning and deployment) ensuring value delivery, deadlines, costs and quality of all projects.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Sciences, Information Technology, Business Administration, or related fields.
  • Substantial professional experience in project management within a software environment: A minimum of 5 years of experience in software project management, with a track record of successful delivery.
  • Experience in Agile methodologies is essential, a formal Scrum certification (e.g., Certified Scrum Master or equivalent) is highly desirable.
  • No direct people leadership is required, but experience in leading project teams and facilitating group activities is beneficial.
  • Strong business acumen and the ability to translate customer needs into software requirements.
  • Experience in risk management, including identification, analysis, and mitigation of risks associated with project delivery.
  • Experience with stakeholder management and the ability to establish and maintain strong relationships.
