We are currently hiring a Software Automation Tester to join our Vehicle Engineering Team in Lisbon.

What will your responsabilities be?
- Design, develop, and maintain automated test cases using CAPL (Vector environment).
- Adapt and extend existing test cases provided by third parties (for example CARIAD) to meet project-specific requirements.
- Develop and maintain test automation frameworks for ECU and gateway testing.
- Perform automated testing for UDS diagnostics and network communication (CAN/CAN-FD).
- Work with Vector tools such as CANoe and CANalyzer for test execution and analysis.
- Ensure high timing accuracy (millisecond-level precision) in automated test execution.
- Support testing activities across ECU integration and system validation phases.
- Analyze test results, identify defects, and support root cause analysis.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (development, testing, integration).
- Ensure traceability between requirements, test cases, and test results.
What requirements are we looking for?
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical/Electronic Engineering, Computer Science/Software Engineering (with a focus on Embedded Systems), Mechatronics, Control and Automation Engineering, Automotive Engineering or a closely related technical discipline.
- 2–4+ years of experience in automotive software testing.
- Strong knowledge of testing methodologies for embedded systems and SiL testing.
- Hands-on experience with HiL systems (e.g., dSPACE, Vector) for BMS and steering applications.
- Python knowledge for test automation and scripting.
- Experience with the C programming language, particularly in a context relevant to static analysis tools like Astree or equivalent.
- Familiarity with CAN and CAN-FD communication protocols.
- Familiarity with Vector tools (CANoe, CANape) and test automation tools (ECU-TEST).
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools, especially Excel, for test data management and analysis.
- Understanding of battery diagnostics, state estimation, and thermal management (for BMS).
- Familiarity with steering assistance, redundancy, and fail-safe mechanisms.
- Knowledge of ISO 26262 and ASPICE-compliant test processes.
- Experience with test management tools (Polarion, Jenkins, Jira).
