About the Team:

Autonomous vehicles are an important field in the Strategy of Traton and its truck brands (MAN, Scania, Navistar, VW CO). Together with digitalization and electrification, they form the building blocks of the future product lineup.

The challenging work that is done in the vehicle (onboard) to conquer autonomous driving, needs to be accompanied by a matching offboard cloud ecosystem. This will allow to operate fleets of autonomous commercial vehicles from a central place, a control center, without a driver involved. Therefore fulfilling legal requirements for supervision as well as establishing the use case for our customers to economically use autonomous vehicles (AV)’s.

Your Responsibilities:

• • Working in the context of autonomous vehicles, you will be responsible to create, improve and monitor highly available cloud infrastructure solutions.
  • You provide support and central service towards the product teams, helping them in successfully structuring and designing their systems in the autonomous offboard domain. Following best practices, principles and guidelines.
  • You advise your team, create information material for others and continuously improve the services, tooling and processes to fully leverage the cloud capabilities. You like to pass on your know-how in DevOps and cloud practices and technologies.
  • You participate in the conception and maintenance of reliable, efficient, secure and effective cloud architectures and services.
  • You provide support in collecting and analysing requirements to find the best cloud offerings, architecture and overall solution.
  • You take initiative to solve problems and overcome roadblocks, being the interface between different teams, services and the cloud provider. You are a result-oriented individual.
  • You are interested in new technology, approach topics proactively and solve problems in innovative and pragmatic ways.

Your Skills:

• • Bachelor's degree in related field or comparable job expertise; 
  • At least 5 years of experience;
  • Hands-on experience with building and managing cloud native solutions and infrastructure;
  • Significant experience with architecture and operation of solutions in modern cloud systems;
  • Strong belief and experience in the DevOps and agile methodology;
  • Experience with CloudFormation and/or CDK;
  • Knowledge and prior experience with different AWS service offerings;
  • You consider Infrastructure as Code and continuous integration as an essential part of software development;
  • Strong awareness of clean and well-documented architecture;
  • Solid experience in using and integrating AWS cloud services with paradigms like Infrastructure-as-code, alerting and monitoring;
  • High sense of quality and responsibility;
  • Very good English skills, both written and spoken;
  • Team-oriented mindset and strong collaboration skills;
  • Experience in software development is a plus.
