We are currently hiring a Software Tester to join our Vehicle Engineering Team in Lisbon.

What we do in our team?
The Battery & Steering Systems Team drives the software development, testing, and validation of critical vehicle systems, ensuring performance, safety, and reliability. We design and test embedded software for battery and steering systems. By combining hardware expertise, software precision, and deep testing know-how, we help bring innovation from the lab to the road.
What will your responsibilities be?
- Design and implementation of test case concepts for BMS and steering control software.
- Development and maintenance of SiL test environments and related tool chains (e.g., HiL, MiL).
- Testability analysis of requirements and creation of detailed test specifications.
- Execution of test campaigns (integration, regression, and system tests).
- Processing and tracking defects, defining regression tests, and ensuring resolution.
- Analysis of test results and reporting with traceability to requirements, utilizing tools for data management and analysis.
- Preparation of test documentation, decision templates, and presentations for Stakeholders.
What requirements are we looking for?
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical/Electronic Engineering, Computer Science/Software Engineering (with a focus on Embedded Systems), Mechatronics, Control and Automation Engineering, Automotive Engineering or a closely related technical discipline.
- 2–4+ years of experience in automotive software testing.
- Strong knowledge of testing methodologies for embedded systems and SiL testing.
- Hands-on experience with HiL systems (e.g., dSPACE, Vector) for BMS and steering applications.
- Python knowledge for test automation and scripting.
- Experience with the C programming language, particularly in a context relevant to static analysis tools like Astree or equivalent.
- Familiarity with CAN and CAN-FD communication protocols.
- Familiarity with Vector tools (CANoe, CANape) and test automation tools (ECU-TEST).
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools, especially Excel, for test data management and analysis.
- Understanding of battery diagnostics, state estimation, and thermal management (for BMS).
- Familiarity with steering assistance, redundancy, and fail-safe mechanisms.
- Knowledge of ISO 26262 and ASPICE-compliant test processes.
- Experience with test management tools (Polarion, Jenkins, Jira).
